hagaren - chibi edward elric

aha, i was looking at some fma chibi fanart on friday night, and after musing about how i never draw things chibi, i decided to take a stab at it. so here it is, a chibi ed with a newly-transmuted gift (because he considers tranmuted gift the same as homemade gifts, which we all know have much sentimental value). yeah, the lighting is a little wonky because i didn't remember about the light from the transmutation until i was halfway done with it. the shading is a little wonky as well and a little messy, but i'm experimenting with photoshop and trying to get the oC feel, and i decided i like cging messier it's a lot freer and more fun than cel, in my opinion. and i messed up on his shoes too, because i didn't use a reference to draw this and started coloring it before i realized the mistake. oh well. and from the feedback i've gotten from my fellow forum-whores at fm-a.com, his face isn't chibi enough, which i now see, and i'll remember that if i decide to draw any more chibi figures. but in any case, happy holiday and happy studying for finals and happy filling out college apps!

Medium: photoshop 7.0, mouse. my past photoshopped cgs were massacred with the smudge tool, but this time i only used the brush and eraser (and the dodge tool a few times)
Time: 10 minutes for the pencil lineart, then another 1:45 or so for the cg, on and off
